Class of 2021 Honors Students Receive Awards

This year’s economics honors awards were given to the following students. Congratulations to all.

Chi-Ming Hou Award for Excellence in International Economics

Established by past and present department members in honor of the late Chi-Ming Hou — a member of the 51·çÁ÷ economics department from 1956 to 1991 — for outstanding achievement in international economics.

This year’s recipients: Alessandro Conte and Phuong Nguyen

Marshall-Keynes Award for Excellence in Economics

Awarded by the department to the senior with the strongest sustained performance in analytical economics and on the basis of the comprehensive exam.

This year’s recipient: Mackenzie Martin

J. Melbourne Shortliffe Award

Established in honor of the late J. Melbourne Shortliffe, economics department chair emeritus, and awarded to outstanding graduating seniors who have concentrated in economics.

This year’s recipient: Benjamin Moffa
