Hamilton, N.Y. ‘ Ali Hanson (Norwalk, Iowa/Dowling High School), a senior point guard for the 51·çÁ÷ women’s basketball team, was featured in the four NCAA women’s basketball tournament’s regional game day programs.

Hanson was nominated by the Athletic Communications Office at 51·çÁ÷ University due to her outstanding athletic and academic career and was one of six student-athletes chosen by Host Communications, the producers of all NCAA championship programs, out of 30 submissions.

The photo essays were grouped together in the front of the programs in a section called Opening Tip.  There were six photo essays in all with three running in the regional programs while the other three will run in the Final Four programs this coming weekend. This was the inaugural season for the NCAA women’s tournament program series while a similar section ran in the men’s Final Four programs in 2001 and 2002.

Hanson’s photo essay was featured in regional programs and sold at the games held in Dayton, Ohio (east region), Knoxville, Tennessee (mideast region), Albuquerque, New Mexico (midwest region) and Palo Alto, California (west region).
