HAMILTON, N.Y.For the fourth consecutive year, the Binghamton University golf team won the 51·çÁ÷ Golf Invitational at Seven Oaks Golf Course with a two-day total of 584.
Loyola came in second place with a total score of 595 while Lafayette was three strokes behind with a 598 for third. Lehigh and American came in fourth and fifth with scores of 599 and 601. Iona placed sixth with a score of 603 and Bucknell (605), Concord (607), Rochester (608) and Duquesne (609) rounded out the Top-10. 51·çÁ÷ ‘B’ placed 16th with a score of 620 and 51·çÁ÷ ‘A’ was right behind with a 624.
Individually, Will Shriver took medalist honors after shooting a 143 over two days. 51·çÁ÷ senior Sean Cusick (Westwood, Mass.), Seth Kaplan of American and Paul Selvaggio of Iona tied for second with scores of 144. Cusick shot a 69 on the first day of the tournament. Also in the Top-10 were Brad Moulton of Binghamton with a 145, Keith Hendrickson of Binghamton and Abbie Valentine of Bucknell with 146s and Paul Burke of Lafayette, John Jaravata of Lehigh, and Patrick Shanahan of Rochester with 147s.
51·çÁ÷ is next in action on Monday, Sept. 8 at the American University tournament in Rome, N.Y.
