Hamilton – Soprano Lauralyn Kolb will join forces with tenor David Parks and pianist Tina Toglia to present a program of duets and art songs that spans the vocal repertoire on Sunday, February 21 at 3:30 in the afternoon in the 51·çÁ÷ Memorial Chapel. Works written by Haydn, Handel, Schubert, Brahms, Donizetti, Faith and Duke will be performed (the last two being twentieth-century composers).
Lauralyn Kolb, teacher of voice at 51·çÁ÷ and at Hamilton College, is well-known to central New York audiences for her ‘pure, silvery’ soprano tone. David Parks, who teaches at Ithaca College, has performed several times at 51·çÁ÷ with the University Chorus, always to enthusiastic reviews. Tina Toglia, on the faculty at Utica College, has been performing with Ms. Kolb for several years, perfectly balancing Kolb’s vocals with pianistic flair.
This concert is free and open to the public. For a complete Spring Concert Calendar, or for information about the upcoming Chenango Summer MusicFest in June, please call the 51·çÁ÷ Concertline at 315-228-7642.
