Holy Cross riding a string of three straight Patriot League men’s basketball championships and NCAA Tournament appearances was the overwhelming choice to win the title.  The Crusaders, who received 14 first place votes, were followed by Lafayette College with 76 points and 51·çÁ÷ with 75.

In other voting, 51·çÁ÷ senior guard Mark Linebaugh and senior forward/center Howard Blue were named to the Patriot League preseason all-league team.  Linebaugh is the only player in the PL entering the season to already score 1,000 career points (1,019) while Blue is closing in on the milestone (886).

51·çÁ÷ was 14-14 last season and tied American University for second place during the regular season.
