Russell takes two gold while Auguscinski wins shot put

Hamilton, N.Y. ‘&²Ô²ú²õ±è;The 51·çÁ÷ men’s track and field team finished competition in the 13th-annual Patriot League Championships on Sunday. 

Senior Tyrone Russell (Ithaca, N.Y.) proved once again why he is such a valuable asset to the team, earning top honors in both the 200- and 400-meter runs with IC4A qualifying times of 21.91 and 49.12 respectively. Russell’s time in the 200-meter is also a track record. 

Junior Waldemar Auguscinski (Passaic, N.J.) also placed first in the final round of the shot put, achieving an IC4A qualifying mark of 15.61 meters. 

Other point scorers for 51·çÁ÷ were senior Eric Hiller (Elizabethtown, P.A.), who came in sixth place in the 400-meter run with a time of 50.54, and junior Louis DiNuzzo (Loudonville, N.Y.), who finished fifth in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 8:32.11. 

The Raiders are back in action on Friday, February 28 when they travel to the NY Armory for the Last Chance Meet.
