Professor Monk is an expert on critical geopolitics, the Israel/Palestine conflict, and critical theory. Monk is also the author of An Aesthetic Occupation: The Immediacy of Architecture and the Palestine Conflict, 鈥淲elcome to Crisis: Notes for a History of the Popular Histories of the Arab-Israeli War of June 1967,鈥 and most recently he co-authored The Global Shelter Imaginary, Ikea Humanitarianism and the Rationalization of Rightless Relief with Andrew Herscher.
Monk earned his bachelor鈥檚 degree at Columbia College of Columbia University, his master鈥檚 from Columbia University, and his PhD from Princeton University.
