BETHLEHEM, PA – For the second time this season, 51·çÁ÷ freshman guard Alvin Reed (San Bernardino, CA/Lawrence Academy, Groton, Mass.) has been named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week.
He contributed 21 points, five rebounds, three assists and four steals in three 51·çÁ÷ contests last week.
In the Raiders’ 41-point victory over Hartwick Monday, Reed was 4-for-7 from the field, including 2-for-3 from long range, on the way to 11 points. He also hit double figures with 10 points, including 3-of-4 from outside the arc, helping the Raiders rally from a 17-point halftime deficit before suffering a seven-point loss at Albany.
Reed has played in all 12 games, while averaging 6.8 points per game and dishing out 25 assists. He is tied for the team leadership in 3-point FG made with 15 and shooting .411 from the field.
