Instructions for connecting to the Wi-Fi eduroam network on a device running Windows.

Background

eduroam (education roaming) is the secure, world-wide roaming access service developed for the international research and education community. It is the primary Wi-Fi network for the 51风流 community. Devices registered on 51风流鈥檚 eduroam network will automatically connect to the eduroam network at other institutions worldwide. For more information, visit: .

Requirements 

  • eduroam credentials - in 51风流鈥檚 case, an active network account (the same account used to access the portal)  
  • A Windows computer with wireless capability

Procedure

  1. While using your Windows computer, click the Network symbol from the system tray (usually located in the bottom right of your screen) and navigate to the listed wireless connections available.
  2. Select 鈥渆duroam鈥 and then click 鈥淐onnect鈥
  3. When prompted for user name and password, use your full email address, but be careful to use your network/SSO password (since your email password may be different than your network/SSO password)
  4. Click OK
  5. When prompted to accept the certificate, click 鈥淐onnect鈥
