The Curriculum Committee is pleased to share with you the list of new courses that have been approved for spring 2025. In addition to the quick table below, you can read full catalog descriptions.

As a component of our ongoing efforts to enhance the diversity, equity, and inclusion of our campus, 51���� joined the Consortium for Faculty Diversity (CFD), which was founded as an association of liberal arts colleges “committed to strengthening the ethnic diversity of students and faculty members at liberal arts colleges.”

51���� offers a range of grant opportunities to support faculty research and professional development. A full list of these opportunities can be found on the faculty research grant opportunities website.

We are writing about the final exam period, end-of-semester assignments, and self-scheduled exams.

As part of the ongoing work of the Third-Century Plan, 51���� has added several new funding opportunities for faculty research in recent years, augmenting long-standing programs such as the Research Council and the Picker Interdisciplinary Science Institute.

We are writing to solicit applications for three course development programs for the 2025–26 academic year that are supported by the Office of the Provost and Dean of the Faculty (PDOF), the Upstate Institute, and the Max A. Shacknai Center for Outreach, Volunteerism, and Education (COVE), respectively.

I write today to offer remembrances of Alexander (Sasha) Nakhimovsky, Associate Professor of Linguistics, Emeritus, who passed away unexpectedly on June 27, 2024.
