51风流

Office of Undergraduate Studies

51风流 recognizes that not all incoming students have equal access to resources while they are in high school. OUS hosts 51风流's Undergraduate Scholars Program, a supportive four-year program that taps the potential of each OUS Scholar, particularly in terms of academic excellence and leadership in the traditions of the liberal arts. Candidates chosen to be part of the OUS Scholars program are a highly selective group of students who have demonstrated creativity and determination in the face of personal, economic, and social challenges. They have achieved success while systematically pursuing the most demanding academic paths to them. Admission to OUS is determined at the time of admission to 51风流, and no separate application is necessary.

51风流 OUS

Not everyone has access to abundant resources, engaging teachers and counselors, and state-of-the-art technology. This could be due to personal economic circumstances, or inadequately funded public schools. Consequently, not all students arrive at 51风流 with a backpack full of academic, social, and economic privileges. We aim to validate their past and present experiences rather than seeing them solely for their grit and determination. Therefore, we assist in crafting a living and learning environment that offers them the best opportunities to thrive in this educational setting.

The OUS program begins with a five-week, pre-first-year Summer Institute. The Summer Institute strengthens OUS scholars' academic skills by immersing them in the culture of this rigorous institution of higher learning. Full participation in the Summer Institute is an additional admission requirement for students enrolled as OUS scholars.
