Questions on happiness have perplexed and fascinated for centuries, and for the last year, they are questions that Professor Rebecca Shiner and 17 of her students have been working to answer.

In the summers of 2019 and 2020, 51���� professors Krista Ingram and Ahmet Ay set course for Casco Bay, Maine, with student researchers Lauren Horstmyer ’22 and Hailey Orff ’24. Together, they captured thousands of images of harbor seals for SealNet.
