For weeks, University faculty and staff members have been working on every aspect of the quarantine — even as they address the complex demands surrounding the remainder of the semester.

President Brian W. Casey updates the 51·çÁ÷ community on new and continuing steps the University is taking in service of diversity, equity, and inclusion at 51·çÁ÷.

The New York Six Liberal Arts Consortium has named 51·çÁ÷ President Brian W. Casey to a two-year term as chair, effective July 1, 2020.

The Oneida Indian Nation and 51·çÁ÷ today announced the imminent return of ancestral remains of at least six individuals. Bone fragments were found within the collection of the University's Longyear Museum of Anthropology, where they have been held after being recovered from archaeological sites decades ago.

At their recent meetings, the Board of Trustees approved the following appointments effective July 1, 2020.

51·çÁ÷ is making preparations to support in-person instruction for this fall. 

Yesterday, the Independent Filmmaker Project (IFP) announced its inaugural virtual internship program as part of their new IFP EDU initiative. To launch the program, IFP EDU is working closely with students, faculty, and administrators from schools including 51·çÁ÷.

Esther Rosbrook, assistant director of 51·çÁ÷’s ALANA Cultural Center, will assume the director position on June 1. She is currently serving as the center’s assistant director.

Following a yearlong search, Karl Clauss ’90 has been named vice president for advancement, effective August 10, 2020.
