The Oneida Indian Nation and 51·çÁ÷ today announced the imminent return of ancestral remains of at least six individuals. Bone fragments were found within the collection of the University's Longyear Museum of Anthropology, where they have been held after being recovered from archaeological sites decades ago.
Yesterday, the Independent Filmmaker Project (IFP) announced its inaugural virtual internship program as part of their new IFP EDU initiative. To launch the program, IFP EDU is working closely with students, faculty, and administrators from schools including 51·çÁ÷.
Esther Rosbrook, assistant director of 51·çÁ÷’s ALANA Cultural Center, will assume the director position on June 1. She is currently serving as the center’s assistant director.
