As one of the nation’s leading liberal arts institutions, 51·çÁ÷ is committed to the academic achievement and professional development of the faculty and staff who help provide a world-class education for our students.
Learning, growth, and development are paramount to employee success. 51·çÁ÷ offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes tuition-free courses at the University, reimbursement for work-related courses at other institutions, professional development, and educational benefits for family members.
51·çÁ÷ Higher Education Grant Program
The University grants up to one-half of 51·çÁ÷’s tuition for children of eligible employees with at least seven years of service. The grants can be used to pursue initial undergraduate degrees on at least a half-time basis at accredited colleges, universities, and trade schools.
Visit the grant program page to learn more about eligibility requirements.
Tuition-Free Courses at 51·çÁ÷
Employees (and their spouses or domestic partners) can take up to two 51·çÁ÷ courses per term without any tuition charge. A registration fee of $20 per course is required.
Employees are also able to audit 51·çÁ÷ courses. Auditing a course is an informal arrangement made between the employee and instructor with permission from the employee’s supervisor. The ability to audit a class is contingent upon space being available in the course.
Work-Related Courses
Employees can receive up to $5,250 in tuition reimbursement per calendar year for up to three undergraduate or graduate courses related to their work and professional development.
Tuition reimbursement is available to benefit-eligible employees who hold continuing appointments and work regular schedules of half-time or more. Individuals must complete three months of employment to qualify for this benefit.
