Off-Campus Study in the Classics

Take your immersion in the classics to the next level and gain a local perspective on your academic experience — study abroad in Greece and Italy.

Extended Study to Greece

Some classics courses include an extended study opportunity, allowing participants to continue their class off campus for three weeks at the conclusion of the semester.

Students who have taken ancient Greek are eligible to participate in CLAS 251: Individual Identity and the Material Culture of the Ancient Greek City. The spring semester seminar explores the history, archaeology, and culture of the ancient Greeks. At the end of the spring semester, students travel to Greece, visiting Athens, Mycenae, Epidaurus, Olympia, Delphi, and other ancient sites.
