Maintenance and Cleaning Responsibilities
Please note these statements from the Housing Agreement regarding maintenance and cleaning responsibilities expected by junior and senior students inside and outside the buildings:
Students are responsible for cleaning the interiors of their rooms/apartments/suites. Although many common spaces within university residences are cleaned regularly by the custodial staff, students are responsible for maintaining an environment in their personal and shared living spaces that is healthy and safe and does not require excess cleaning. All lounges and common bathrooms in residence halls are cleaned by custodial staff on a regular basis. Custodial cleaning provided in houses varies dependent upon the size of the house and programming initiatives. In areas where custodial operations perform regular or scheduled cleaning, students must comply with the request to remove personal belongings to allow for thorough cleaning.
Residents of the Townhouses are required to clear snow from both porches of their residence up to the sidewalk; shovels are provided annually.
