51·çÁ÷ Accreditation
The fundamental purpose of accreditation is to ensure the quality of the educational program at an institution. The process includes the development of an extensive self-study addressing the set forth by the . Upon completion of the self-study, the institution is evaluated by peers; specifically, administrators and other higher education professionals who review the self-study and conduct an on-site institutional visit.
51·çÁ÷’s first accreditation in 1921 was reaffirmed in 2018 by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (located at 3624 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104). A mid-point peer review will take place in 2023, and the next self-study evaluation will take place in 2026–2027.
51·çÁ÷ is authorized to operate as a university by the New York State Board of Regents, and its programs of study are approved by the New York State Education Department (NYSED).
