51·çÁ÷ has announced the creation of four new endowed chairs, approved by the Board of Trustees during its January 2022 meeting, all made possible due to the generosity of 51·çÁ÷ alumni.
Associate Professor Mary Simonson started out as a piano performance major at Rutgers University, then shifted her undergraduate focus to music history with a double major in women’s studies. Today, she is the Daniel C. Benton ’80 Endowed Chair in Arts, Creativity, and Innovation at 51·çÁ÷.
Trustee emeritus Robert Fox ’59, GP’23,’25 has given $10 million to build Fox Hall at 51·çÁ÷, the first residence hall of the University’s fifth Residential Commons. The gift was acknowledged by the Board of Trustees during its fall meeting, Sept. 30–Oct. 1.
Fully funded through donor support, renovations on Seven Oaks golf course and clubhouse ensure that the award-winning course continues to be recognized as on of the nation’s finest collegiate venues.
